Gray
Poem
Ania U

A dark cloud loomed over my head,
and a gray fog blanketed my heart.
It rained, sharp needles that pierced my soul
I walked a silent walk, a journey of depression.
Someone, somewhere needed a light,
maybe that someone was me.
This was not a Spring rain,
this kind of rain tears things apart, things like people.
Shadows as quiet as the wind, grayed my way.
Like a dream,
that one has only rarely,
I saw the sign.
After every storm comes a rainbow.
The clouds that had once loomed over my head, disappeared,
as if the Heavens had sent them away.
The sun shone down,
it put light and happiness into my once gray world.
Those ugly thoughts chased away,
replaced with an array of cheer.
My torn heart,
sewn back together.
I had won the battle with the gray.

Note: I came up with this poem because sometimes I don't get enough sleep, which is rare, and I am in a bad mood, and someone always cheers me up
