AHW Wednesday

         I took this photo while I was in Hawaii.

When I was in Hawaii I had a few BIG enemies, those were: the sun, waiting for what was next, and going back home.
   The sun was horrible there! Without sun screen I would have gotten a sunburn, sunburns can cause skin cancer. It was also way too hot, especially for some one that prefers frozen water over liquid water. But, a benefit was that the sun allowed such a diverse variety of plants to grow, and it made things look nice.
   I know that other kids also hate waiting. I was so excited and eager for a new adventure that I forgot we had to wait. Waiting did help us settle in and have time for swimming, though.
   Going back home was heart-breaking. We saw so much: lave tubes, Volcano Kilauea, flowing lava, tropical flora & fauna, beaches, an assortment of ocean wildlife (including dolphins), a Luau, and much more. On the other and, leaving let us travel to many more places and learn about other cultures and natural wonders.
     Hawaii was an awesome island!! : )
