Lost in the Ocean
Are you lost? Trapped? In the sea's unforgiving waves. All I could see was the eye of the storm inside of me: calm… silent anger… relentlessly trying to have some hope. How could I have had hope when the ship of 1725 had been caught in a net, a sea storm. A net that spelled D-E-A-T-H; but why? Every time I look into the seemingly innocent blue abyss I hear, feel, and see my loss and the ocean's shallow heart trying to crack into mine. Something was different ever since that year, the gulls' normally welcoming call sounded rough and hoarse, the wind wasn't zestful it was opaque. How could my peer's on that ship have been so naive, so willingly crossing the dark, dark water just for purposeful adventure. I am lost. And trapped in a cold blanket of emotion. But, deep inside of me there was a spark of hope and it would spread like a wildfire. That wildfire would not quench not even under the strongest sea storms.
