A Long Night

Today at 7 pm I was performing my declamation piece at the forensics showcase. There we listened to many different performances. Some were funny, some melancholy, some just… boring, some fun to watch. At most 20 students performed. I think I did an excellent job - I feel that the clapped a bit louder and smiled a bit more when I was onstage. Stage-fright is the 2nd most common fear in the world. But I feel almost comfortable under the stares of hundreds of eyes. Every time a new person went upstage I didn't know what to feel, always at the end I ended up smiling. We got home late, I still had homework to do.
