- Lay your stomach down on the surfboard. But don't get to far forward. Stretch out your arms and hold the sides of the board.
- Slide your hands back until they reach the level of your shoulders. Then, do a sissy push-up and extend your arms.
- Move your body and get into a crouch. If you are a righty bring your left foot in the front and the other way around if you are lefty. Your front knee should be lined up with your chin, but not touching it.
- Start to stand up slowly, but keep your legs bent. And just like in your crouch keep your feet in the same position. Move your back foot downwards.
Don't try this in the water until you have practiced or taken lessons.
