River Rascals

Today is the day that we went to the river. When I was at the benthic station I caught a crayfish! It was cute, it started climbing hip my net. Oh, and right after I got it I fell into the river because I tripped on a log. I was soaking wet. Someone caught a fish, too. At the chemical station we found out that the overall water quality was classified as "good" but very close to excellent. And finally at the physical station I sat by to fill out our packet of information while my group splashed around and measured the speed of the water. Unfortunately I had to leave early for a doctor's appointment, so I didn't get a chance to go in at that station. But, what we did there supports the river and helps the community learn about their environment. We did research that is for scientists and learned while keeping the river in top health.
